The Turbulence Structure Laboratory (http://www.eng.tau.ac.il/efdl) collaborates with the Institute of Environmental Engineering (IfU) at the ETH Zurich on the following projects:
1) pulsating flow in a human aorta replica measured using particle tracking and a flow sensitive MRI
2) breakage of colloids in turbulent flows
3) planar Couette flow - transitional Reynolds regime
4) multi-hot-wire/film probes for three dimensional flow measurments: calibration, field experiments and MEMS sensor developments
5) real time image compression for particle tracking
6) small scale structure of turbulent flows

Turbulence Structure Laboratory develops 3D measurement methods for large and especially for small scale turbulence in gases in liquids. We implement these methods to obtain full tensor of velocity derivatives in Eulerian and Lagrangian settings using multi-hot-cold-wire arrays and 3D Particle Tracking Velocimetry (3D-PTV).
