Res. Asst. Professor - The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston

The Quantitative Genomics Core Laboratory (QGCL) was founded in 1999 to provide high-throughput detection and quantification of nucleic acids utilizing real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR). Since then, there has been an ever increasing number of assay modalities including focused arrays for mRNAs from multiple vendors as well as miRNA arrays from Exiqon have been added to the core laboratories repertoire as well as the addition of quantitative ELISA analysis of proteins from multiple sources utilizing Meso Scale Discovery technology (MSD). Robotic workstations are used to setup samples and assay reagents in 96- or 384-well plates ensuring a high degree of accuracy and precision for all detection modalities.
