Microfluidic Device Design and Fabrication

Redbud Labs manufactures cartridge-ready™ microfluidic components using Redbud Post technology. Our products are fabricated on-site at our headquarters in RTP, NC. As a dedicated supplier to the life sciences industry, we are committed to safety and quality. We will complete ISO 45001 and 9001 certifications in 2019. We are continuously expanding the scale of our manufacturing operation with existing facilities to support total production in excess of 10 million chips per year.

Assay Development

Our in-house team can extend your assay development capabilities by helping port your existing workflows to a cartridge-ready format. Operating in our BSL-2 laboratories, and including resources for genomic, proteomic, and cell-based assays, our talented assay development team can be resourced at any stage of development, from feasibility to production. We develop custom assays to evaluate product performance for specific applications. We optimize chip design against your reference assays. We can even implement customer-specific tests for ongoing functional quality control.

Mechanical Prototyping

Redbud Labs supports assay development, cartridge integration, and systems engineering teams with rapid prototyping of microfluidic components. We'll work with your in-house and subcontracted teams to rapidly deliver test assemblies.
