Promise Advanced Proteomics was created in 2010 and is now a full subsidiary of the Aguettant group. Promise Proteomics is based in Grenoble, France.

Promise Proteomics ethos is to develop innovative mass spectrometry-based technologies to address protein absolute quantification in biological samples. Promise Proteomics offers products and services in two main areas:

Quantitative Proteomics

Promise provides labelled proteins and LC-MS assays for the absolute quantification of proteins in biological samples.

Stable isotope labelled and unlabelled protein products

Promise Proteomics provides catalogue and custom-made stable isotope labelled (and unlabelled) full-length recombinant protein products that are used by scientists working in these main

A stable isotope labelled (SIL) form of an analyte protein is regarded as the optimal internal standard (IS) for absolute quantification of proteins using LC-MS; SIL proteins are often cited as being the “gold standard IS”.
The benefit of using a SIL protein as an IS is that shares the same physiochemical behaviour as the target protein analyte. The IS can be introduced at the start of the sample preparation workflow & will be processed along with the analyte protein throughout the entire analytical procedure.
Addition of a SIL-protein at the start of the sample extraction can control for variations due to protein isolation, digestion as well as LC & mass spectrometric ionization.

Recombinant Protein Expression

Promise Proteomics offers custom production of either stable isotope labelled or unlabelled therapeutic proteins or protein biomarkers.

We currently offer a variety of expression systems, E. coli, yeast (Pichia Pastoris and Saccharomyces Cerevisiae) or mammalian cells (HEK and CHO) that have been fully optimized for labelled proteins production.

Protein production is supported by stringent standard quality control: SDS-PAGE, sequence analysis using LC-MS/MS and control of isotope incorporation are monitored as standard.

Additional services, such as specific post-translational modification of custom produced proteins and additional quality control steps are available on request.

Further up upscale production and optimization of purification process can be provided when larger amounts are required
