Samples can be either on ice or any packaging depending on shippers need. We can receive anytime because we have 24 hour security guards who receive packages after working hours.

Field testing of transgenic plants in Africa
The center has four confined experimental fields (total 10 hectares) in which we can evaluate transgenic plants in a regulated open field in Africa. They are certified by the National Bio-safety Committee and very good for proof of concept of gene technologies in African crops.

Turnaround time: 1-2 years
We have a fully equipped molecular biology and plant tissue culture laboratory in which we can do plant genetic transformation of mainly African adapted crops and varieties. We also have both green and screen houses for preliminary challenging of putative transgenics.
