We enable important life sciences and biotechnology research by providing high quality standard and specialized in vivo pharmacology models, investigative and drug development services, medical device testing, and education.

Our team offers a wide range of cardiovascular models to evaluate the efficacy of therapeutics in rodent and non-rodent species, including models of pulmonary hypertension, infarction/heart failure, and ischemia/reperfusion. The In Vivo Facility uses the latest in telemetry technology, and has a surgical team skilled in the implantation of any size or model device. With access to fluoroscopy, Micro CT, echocardiographic evaluations by a board certified veterinary cardiologist, and skilled surgeons, the MSU In Vivo Facility has the expertise and technology to support a variety of rodent and nonrodent heart failure models. We also offer state-of-the-art vascular imaging capabilities with Visualsonics' Vevo 2100 high-resolution digital imaging platform.
