Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) team has state-of-art facility with strong scientific team and infrastructure.
DMPK team supports both integrated preclinical discovery programs and fee-for-service projects and delivers quality and reproducible results with a quick turnaround time. DMPK team basically comprises in vitro, in vivo, met-ID and pre-formulation groups managed by highly experienced and matured scientific people. This team guides the discovery projects by trouble shooting the scientific issues and offer changes on scaffolds to drive the discovery projects in a right direction and de-risk the failures in later stage of development are not due to DMPK related issues.
Jubilant’s DMPK technical, research and development services meet the highest standards of professional performance to satisfy the unique requirements of our clients. We work closely with our clients to identify their requirements and clarify their expectations, including cost and time constraints. This team has published several research articles in peer reviewed international journals and presented posters in conferences.
Jubilant Biosys has a state-of-the art vivarium in Bangalore, India. It encompasses approximately 9000 square feet area.
Toxicology facility is GLP certified and has received GLP Compliance Certification from the National GLP Compliance Monitoring Authority (NGCMA), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Data generated by GLP lab will be acceptable by all regulatory authorities amongst OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) member countries.
Laboratory animal facility is accredited by AAALAC International, a non-profit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science. Laboratory Animal facility is also recognized by “Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experimentation on Animals (CPCSEA) which is a regulatory body under the Ministry of Environment and Forests (Government of India).”Jubilant is committed to responsible animal care and use & go the extra step to achieve excellence in it.
Jubilant toxicology team offers an array of GLP and non-GLP study services to its customers. The team has designed and performed safety programs ranging from acute through Chromosomal Aberration and Micronucleus studies.

Structural Biology team is the largest team in India with Ph.Ds and MS level scientists trained from premier institutions and Pharma across the world.
The team has vast expertise in cloning, expression, protein purification, crystallization, crystal image annotation, X-ray diffraction data collection, structure solution and refinement. In the past three years, this department has delivered structures for more than 25 unique target proteins, over 100 ligand-bound structures, evaluated and refined more than 4000 structures of 100 different target proteins and carried out manual annotation for about 40 million protein crystal images. Scientists in the team have extensive prior experience in solving novel structures using different phasing methods, as demonstrated by over 20 peer-reviewed publications. -SB team also supports client’s integrated drug discovery program run at our center to facilitate rational drug design.
The team has beam-line access at the Synchrotron in the USA and Europe to obtain high resolution structure with a faster turn-around time.

Jubilant Biosys computational chemistry team excels in drug discovery design efforts in collaboration with medicinal chemistry, biology and DMPK teams, by conducting molecular modeling studies - pharmacophore and QSAR modeling, protein structure-based drug design, ligand-based drug design, fragment-based drug design, homology modeling, docking & scoring, chemoinformatic analysis and de novo design.

The In Vitro Biology Group at Jubilant has state-of-the-art infrastructure and the expertise to perform a variety of biochemical and cellular assays against most target classes, including enzymes, GPCR’s, ion channels (e-phys), NHR’s and transporters.
The department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to enable these assays, including sophisticated liquid-handling, compound-handling and assay-detection systems. With a high ratio of PhD scientists, the group also has the expertise to take on target validation and mechanism studies.
