Inserogen, Inc., Delaware C‐Corp since October 2013 is a biopharmaceutical company formed with the mission of using its efficient and proprietary plant‐‐‐made pharmaceutical (PMP) technology to develop and bring to market human therapeutics for neglected or underserved orphan and rare diseases. Inserogen, Inc. is capable of purifying and characterizing recombinant proteins or peptides in plant systems including 1) transient production in whole plants, harvested biomass, and plant cell suspension cultures using agrobacterium-mediated expression, 2) transgenic plant cell suspension cultures, or 3) transgenic plants. We have experience with a variety of plant species including tobacco, rice, sunflower, cucumber, and alfalfa.

Inserogen offers production of recombinant proteins in plants including gene design and optimization, process development, protein purification, product characterization and techno-economic analyses for large scale production. We specialize in transient production of recombinant proteins in Nicotiana benthamiana (a relative of the tobacco plant). We can linearly scale production through our collaborating contract manufacturing organization based on the needs of the client.
