The Hybridoma Center / Monoclonal Antibody Development Core is a specialized cell culture facility that assists investigators in the generation of monoclonal antibody producing B cell hybridomas. Mouse and Armenian hamster models are utilized to generate antigen reactive monoclonal antibodies.
Hybridomas secreting antigen-specific antibodies are subcloned by limiting dilution to establish a stable cell line secreting a unique antibody with defined specificity and isotype.
Immunization services are available for mouse and Armenian hamster models. Once sufficient antibody titers are identified from immune animals, splenocytes are fused with a murine myeloma and cell cultures are maintained in the Core facility.
We assist investigators in the custom generation of monoclonal antibody producing B cell hybridomas. Guidance is provided in the selection of appropriate model species, development of immunization strategies, screening protocols and methods for antibody production.
