Claire Yao is a Research Associate at the Institute of Health Food, Zhejiang Academy of Medical Sciences in Hangzhou City, China.
Her research interests focus on the evaluation and the mechanisms of antidepressant, antinociceptive, anxiolytic, antiaging activities in various animal and cell models, and the extraction, isolation and enrichment of the bioactivity compounds and chronic and acute toxicity.
Yao received her PhD in Ecotoxicology Biodiversity Ecosystems and Pharmacognosy from Metz University, France and Fudan University, China, in 2010. Her MS in Biology was awarded by the School of Life Sciences, Northwest University, China, in 2005.
Yao's service capabilities involve research pharmacological effects and toxicity assessment of compounds and extracts from various medicinal plants in vivo and in vitro, in order to help pharmaceutical companies or some potential scientists outside the field of pharmacology to obtain experimental results quickly. She is particularly skilled in animal and cell models in pain, inflammation, depression, anxiety, hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, hypertension, memory, sleep, etc.
