BioVinc is led by long time experts in the field of bisphosphonate research and scientists that were instrumental in developing many of the bone active and fluorescently tagged bisphosphonates that continue to be studied today. Our scientists are available to advise customers of BioVinc on their research plans, grant applications, and results in studies with the bisphosphonates. We are also actively soliciting contract R&D in this field and in general medicinal chemistry, and can utilize our own laboratories to assist in the design, synthesis and scale-up of pharmacologically useful compounds. The development of diagnostic tools and tissue selective drug targeting are areas of continued focus in research and development at BioVinc.
In addition, BioVinc has also commercialized many new fluorescent molecular probes that target bone for research use. The probes are derived from nitrogen-containing bisphosphonates such as zoledronate (ZOL)and, risedronate (RIS) including lower bone affinity analogues conjugated with a wide choice of popular visible and near infrared fluorescent dyes to address different imaging needs in bone related research including bone biology, bone pharmacology, dental, cochlear, and cardiovascular research. Custom “mix-and-match” bisphosphonate-dye pairings are also available on request. By providing both off-the-shelf imaging probes and individually tailored probe design services, BioVinc can help with all aspects of your research needs. The probes have already been used in diverse imaging studies including research on bone metabolism, cancer, and dental conditions.
