Biocellvia is a french company developing Intelligent Image Analysis solutions for pharmaceutical industry (Big Pharma, Biotechs, CRO) and academic communities involved in R&D.

We have developed fully-automated digital image analysis solutions, that enable to evaluate quantitatively the level of efficacy of your lead molecules thanks to histological slides (in vitro, ex vivo, biopsies) on whole sections in various pathologies such as:

- Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

- NASH / NAFLD

- Other respiratory diseases ( Asthma , COPD , Pulmonary Hypertension , Emphysema , Small Airway Remodeling ...)

We provide image analysis as a service. Our technology evaluates your molecules with more accuracy, more reliability, more rapidity and less variability than traditional scoring methods. A full study (about 200 images) is performed in only a couple of days after scans reception. 

We can provide histology services too. We can take your study in charge from FFPE blocs, unstained slides, stained slides or digital scans.

Biocellvia proposes digital image analysis as a service for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)

Our technology enables to evaluate quantitatively the efficacy of lead molecules (and the level of severity of the disease) on whole lung sections thanks to the fully-automated and digital quantification of morphologic parameters: 

- Percentage of fibrotic tissue

- Percentage of collagen content

Morphometric parameters have been validated as endpoint measures by comparison to other image analysis methods (e.g. Ashcroft scoring, micro-CT imaging) and functional in vivo standard evaluation methods. Some results gave rise to a publication in PLOS ONE in collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim : https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article/related?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0170561

We can work on different models. Our technology has been initially designed for Bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis model but we worked on a radio-induced pulmonary fibrosis model too.
