Established in 2012, Beantown Biotech was founded on the idea that outsourcing the drug discovery process should be a dynamic relationship between a CRO and a client. We strive to get results back quickly and keep an open line of communication with our clients to ensure no detail is overlooked. The scientists at Beantown Biotech have your best interests at heart and we want you to consider our lab as an extension of your company. We are located in Natick, Massachusetts and are willing to meet in person as often as necessary. Our clients are welcome to visit our facility, discuss results, and communicate new needs. It is our core belief that good science requires open access, accountability, and reliable results.
Reporter assays are a very useful tool for measuring changes in gene expression. The specifics of a particular assay are up to you! We most commonly use a mammalian expression system, however we are capable of doing other expression systems. Most projects involve high throughput screening of a large number of different compounds on a target, however we also specialize in lead optimization for a newly developed assays.
When developing a new cell based assay it is important to establish that cells are able to survive under experimental conditions. There are a number of different assays that are designed for specific cell types and can detect the health condition of the cells. Different tests are also able to differentiate apoptosis from necrosis which may offer important information about off-target signaling. We work with a number of different human cell lines that are both adherent and free-floating. Our cell biologists have a variety of cells to work with and are excited to expand our cell bank to fit your research needs. If you are not sure which cell lines may be the best model organism we can work with you to select the most popular cell line for your research.
