abm has over 10 years of experience immortalizing nearly every human and mouse cell lines using different immortalizing reagents. If you have a primary cell line that you would like to immortalize, our risk-free immortalization services are the quickest and most reliable way for your project.
Service Description:
Primary cells have a finite life span of less than 10-50 passages in vitro depending on cell type. Immortalizing your cell line will eliminate the frequent need to re-establish fresh cultures from specimen and will provide a consistent cellular material, capable of extended proliferation and possess similar or identical genotype and phenotype as the parental tissue, throughout the duration of your research experiment.
Key Service Features:
*A non-refundable 15% deposit is required to initate the project
Deliverables:
Add-on Service:
abm offers a variety of molecular cloning services that suit your experiment needs. Our offerings consist of the services below:
Economy Gene Synthesis & Subcloning - $250.00
Gene synthesis - $0.18/ bp
Subcloning Service I - $125.00

microRNA (miRNA) are naturally occurring, small non-protein coding sequences that are involved in post-translational gene regulation and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes and diseases. These small RNAs (~22nt) also have a big impact on many complex pathophysiological responses, making them a key part of life science research on mammalian and plant systems.
miRNA profiling allows for detection and quantification of miRNAs with high sensitivity and specificity , and provides researchers with both raw and processed data for quick interpretation and comparison of multiple samples.

Site-directed mutagenesis is a process of creating specific alterations in a gene. This technique has been used to study the relationship of protein structure and its function. Using site-directed mutagenesis, a gene can be modified by base substitution, sequence deletion and insertion. Site-directed mutagenesis is also very useful for modifying a DNA construct, such as alteration of a restriction site in a vector, insertion or deletion of vector elements, tag addition, tag removal and promoter insertion and exchange. Please inquire for a quote for large plasmids, large fragment insertions/deletions, difficult templates, and multiple mutagenesis.

abm offers an extensive library of sequence verified human, mouse and rat open reading frames (ORF), ready for insertion into your choice of protein expression systems. With both the 5'UTR and the 3'UTR removed, ORFs allow for quick and reliable protein expression when inserted into a compatible expression vector. They can also be used as a template for positive control in PCR amplification experiments.
abm's ORFs contain a mutated stop codon to allow for the incorporation of a C-terminal tag or reporter if it is present in the recipient vector. abm's ORFs are also available in ready-to-use protein expression vectors, lentiviral vectors or packaged lentivirus and adenovirus formats.

Primary cells are taken directly from living tissue (e.g. biopsy material) and cultured in vitro. As opposed to continuous cell lines (e.g. tumor), primary cells are known for their virtue of retaining most of the characteristics of the original tissue from which they are derived in the first place.
abm is one of the global leaders in primary cells. A result of years of in-house research and development and cooperative endeavours with prestigious research institutions worldwide, abm has successfully accumulated a large number of primary cells to provide for a wide-selection of research projects for our clients.

Escherichia coli (E. coli) provides for a relatively simple, fast, inexpensive and robust system for native and heterologous recombinant protein production. While unable to render many of the complex eukaryotic post-translational modifications, technologies such as, co-expression of chaperones/kinases/rare tRNAs and engineering of strains that provide a pro-disulfide bond (oxidative) environment, hallmark the technological progress achieved in E. coli system over the last two decades. abm recommends the E. coli system when post-translational modifications such as glycosylation are not crucial to the intended downstream application(s).

The mammalian expression system provides the only authentic and feasible option in cases where the protein of interest needs to be embellished with characteristic, mammalian post-translational modification(s) and/or entails a complex translational machinery for proper folding and targeting (such as membrane proteins). Therefore, abm recommends its mammalian expression service for proteins for which the native folding and post-translational modifications are of a complex nature (beyond the purview of E. coli ) and indispensable to the customer's intended application (s).

Key requirements for successful monoclonal antibody generation include immunization strategies, antigen design, and screening technologies. abm's novel immunization procedures and careful mouse strain selection allows for production of monoclonal antibodies which are of the utmost affinity and specificity. This is because we take great care in designing the antigens for antibody production, especially with respect to synthesizing peptides, to generate a robust antibody that is able to recognize conformational changes of the native protein under the optimum number of conditions. Mouse monoclonal antibody production is divided into different phases, with a non-refundable $1,000 to cover the material cost to initiate the project. The balance will be due upon service completion. Our price includes antigen protein production and guaranteed western blot results, which are not included in competitor's services. All you need to do is give us the gene accession number and we will take care of everything else. This unique service is only available from abm.

Cell and Tissue Culture Services
"It was a pleasure working with Chris and his team at Applied Biological Materials. Where many companies declined to even have a discussion about my project, Chris reached out to learn more about the project and they were able to execute on and complete the project."
"I am very pleased with the service and the science at ABM. In terms of service they responded quickly to my email inquiries and late additions for consideration. In terms of the science the RNASeq was done in a timely fashion and the results were presented as agreed upon initially. Unfortunately the easy solution to the problem the study addresses is not readily apparent in the assembly. But we may yet tease an answer out of the terabyte that is more revelatory than the one expected."
"ABM was efficient and kept us updated on the progress of our project throughout the process."
"Prompt reply and excellent communications. Product delivered as promised."
"We submitted a non-standard type of RNA sample to the folks at ABM and were pleased with their willingness to work with it and to consult openly with us about the protocols that would best be used. In addition, their price was the lowest quoted to us at the time among several companies contacted by Science Exchange. The folks at ABM provided us with the raw NGS results from our sample within the estimated time frame, and we were happy to find that these sequences, once we performed the bioinformatics analyses ourselves as we had requested, provided robust coverage of the molecules in the sample in which we were most interested. We would be pleased to work with ABM again, especially if their prices for NGS of RNA samples continue to be so competitive."
"Delivered an on-time, quality product (whole genome sequencing) as promised!"
